Career Counseling - Please see the section "Career Counseling"

Resumes - I can help you create an attention-getting, “cutting edge” resume that truly reflects your experience, accomplishments, pertinent skills, strengths and abilities. I will help ensure your resume is concise, attractive, professional and unique to you and your background. We will be certain to include the all-important “keywords” in your resume, and we will also work, if requested, on e-mailing your resume and posting your resume on the internet.

Cover Letters - It is recommended that you accompany your resume with a cover letter, and that you tailor each cover letter to the specific job and employer you are sending it to. I can help you write a powerful, attention-getting cover letter that focuses on what you can contribute to the employer.

Other Job-Search Letters - I can help you write very effective Thank You Letters; Follow-up Letters; Networking or Cold-Calling Letters. These kinds of letters are too-often neglected in the job search process; they can be very powerful tools to help land interviews.

Reference Page - I can help you determine who would be the best people to serve as your professional references, and then create the necessary Reference List. We can also discuss how to maintain a good working relationship with your references; how to approach them, etc.

How to Succeed at Job Interviews - You can be highly qualified, with a terrific resume, and wonderful references, but unless you succeed at the Job Interview, you may not get the job you desire. I can work on all aspects of Job Interviewing with you: Preparing for the Interview; How to Answer Interview Questions; Dynamics of a Job Interview; Follow-up after an Interview, and more. We can conduct a mock interview, which is one of the best ways to become successful at Job Interviews.

Job Search - Many people become trapped in the internet job search game. Although people do find jobs via the internet, the advertised job market only has about 35% of jobs filled in a typical month. You really need to tap into the "hidden job market". We will discuss what the hidden job market is and how to pursue it. We will also talk about the need to utilize at least 3 or 4 different job search strategies, including Personal and Strategic Networking; Cold-Calling; Volunteer Work; Employment Agencies; Job Centers; Recruiters/Headhunters; Internet Search.

Coaching - Along the path towards finding your desired job/career, you are likely to experience bumps in the road, obstacles that may hinder your progress. I can help you to overcome these obstacles with Coaching. In other words, I can help with the emotional and practical factors and consequences of such areas as job search difficulties; issues with career exploration; interview problems; shyness or other problems with networking effectively; work-life balance; job or career transition; stress-management, and other situations. Please keep in mind that I’m not a Therapist or Psychologist, and if I believe you may benefit from the services of a mental health professional, I will refer you, if appropriate.

Job Readiness - Learn all the skills and information you need to succeed in your first job, or return to the workforce. Includes workplace communication, company policies, mistakes people make at work, etc.
